By leaving a timepiece with Rattikala or submitting an enquiry through our website, you agree to the terms described below. If anything is unclear, please speak with a member of our team before work begins — we are always happy to clarify.
1. About Rattikala
Rattikala is a watch repair studio located at 54 Tha Phae Road, Si Phum, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand. We provide watchmaking, service, and repair work for mechanical, quartz, and vintage timepieces. All work is carried out on our premises or by specialist partners where explicitly disclosed to the owner.

2. Accepting a Timepiece for Service
When you leave a watch at our studio, we will provide a written intake record describing the piece and noting its condition at the time of receipt. This record is not an estimate or diagnosis; it is a record of custody.
- You confirm that you are the owner or are authorised to approve work on the timepiece.
- We photograph pieces before work begins. Images are retained for our records.
- Any existing damage noted at intake is recorded to avoid dispute on collection.
3. Estimates and Pricing
A service estimate is provided before work begins. Published service prices cover standard conditions; complications or unexpected findings may adjust the final cost. We will contact you before proceeding if additional work is needed beyond the agreed scope.
- Simple Service — from ฿2,300
- Standard Overhaul — from ฿5,600
- Complete Care Programme — from ฿12,100
All prices are in Thai Baht and include standard labour. Replacement parts, if required, are priced separately and agreed in advance. Estimates remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
4. Authorisation and Communication
We will seek your approval before commencing any work beyond the initial agreed service. Communication is conducted by phone or email using contact details you provide. If we cannot reach you within 14 days of sending notice, we will pause work and hold the piece securely until contact is established.
5. Completion and Collection
We will notify you when your timepiece is ready. The watch should be collected within 30 days of notification. Pieces held beyond 90 days following notification may attract a small storage charge, which we will communicate clearly before applying.
On collection, please inspect your piece in our presence. Any concern should be raised at the point of collection so we can address it immediately.
6. Payment
Payment is due on collection of the timepiece. We accept cash (Thai Baht), bank transfer, and major credit and debit cards. Work remains property of Rattikala until payment is received in full. A receipt is provided for all transactions.
7. Liability and Care of Timepieces
We take every reasonable precaution with pieces entrusted to us. Our studio is secured, and watches are stored appropriately when not on the bench. We carry professional indemnity coverage appropriate to our work.
Our liability for any piece in our care is limited to the fair market replacement value of the timepiece, as agreed at intake. We are not liable for pre-existing faults that were not apparent at intake, or for failures arising from parts we were not asked to replace.
For high-value or irreplaceable pieces, we encourage owners to confirm their own insurance coverage extends to timepieces in third-party care. We are happy to provide documentation to support insurance purposes if required.
8. Service Outcome and Post-Service Period
Our workmanship is supported by a 12-month post-service observation period. If a fault arises within this period that relates directly to work we carried out, we will examine the piece and, where appropriate, address the issue without further labour charge.
This observation period does not cover:
- Damage from impact, water ingress beyond tested ratings, or misuse after collection.
- Wear to parts beyond the scope of the original service.
- Changes in timekeeping arising from normal use of older movements.
9. Website Use
The Rattikala website at rattikala.live is provided for information and initial enquiry purposes. Content is offered in good faith and updated when we are able. We do not accept liability for decisions made solely on the basis of website content without direct consultation with our team.
Enquiry forms on the website do not constitute a service agreement; they initiate contact only. A service agreement is formed when we have spoken directly and issued a written intake record.
10. Intellectual Property
All text, images, and design elements on the Rattikala website are our property or used with appropriate permission. They may not be reproduced without written consent.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be referred to the appropriate courts in Chiang Mai.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, and the date of last update is shown at the top. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions About These Terms
If anything here is unclear or you would like to discuss the arrangement before bringing a piece to us, please reach out. We would rather speak first and proceed with confidence on both sides.
